About Road to 4.0

About

At Road to 4.0, we’re on a mission to help pickleball players at every level reach that coveted 4.0 rating and beyond! Whether you’re an advanced beginner or a more seasoned player looking to fine-tune your skills, our clinics are designed to meet you where you are, and take you to the next level.

Here’s what we offer:
Clinics: Dive into focused sessions that cover essential skills like the 3rd shot drop, strategic dinking, court positioning, tethering, partner communication, shot selection, and more. Our expert instructors will guide you step by step, ensuring you gain the skills you need to excel on the court.

Drilling Groups: Practice makes perfect! Join our drilling groups to apply what you’ve learned in the clinics. Hone your skills, refine your techniques, and build the confidence to take your game to new heights.

Coached Play: Take part in skill-level based games well the coaches observe and assess the individual and team play. Receive live, in-game feedback on shots, strategies, and aspects of the game that you can improve on or approach differently that will immediately translate into points on the court. Come away with a clear sense of the 1 or 2 specific aspects of your game to work on based on actual game play.

With a team led by Will Tams, Chuck Temple, Renee Hoyer-Nielsen, and Carey Fan, all PPR Certified Coaches, we’re here to provide you with the tools and knowledge to elevate your pickleball game to the next level.

Additionally, with community Ambassadors Giselle Ampuero, Jessica Hanserd, Liam Aleguire and Jasper LaFortune, weekly drilling and play sessions allow R240 Community members to deepen their skills and continue to fine tune the new skills and frameworks that we touch upon in the clinics.

Join us on the Road to 4.0 and unlock your full pickleball potential!

A bit on my background

I’ve been playing Pickleball for over five years, participating in tournaments nationwide, including the 2022 and 2023 Pickleball Nationals. In 2023, I secured gold in mixed doubles and singles in Mesa, Arizona, earning Golden tickets to Nationals where I finished 6th out of 40 teams in Men’s doubles and 7th in singles. But beyond medals and finishes, my true passion lies in coaching and helping others improve. Pickleball, to me, is an exploration of learning and potential, where the court becomes a laboratory for experimentation and self-expression within the sport’s boundaries.

Most of all, I absolutely love this game and my student’s say that my enthusiasm is contagious and helps energize them to succeed in their journey.
